HERRINGBONE
The idea behind the TRAPA herringbone patterns was to reinterpret traditional wooden floors, which in earlier times decorated palaces, castles and mansions, in a modern way and transfer them into the 21st century. The three herringbone designs SPIGOLO, OBLIQUO and ANGOLO are characterised by larger formats, changed angles and modern TRAPA colours. The brushed texture of the planks, which are laid in a herringbone pattern, produces fascinating light and shadow effects in scattered light.
All TRAPA herringbone designs are perfectly in tune with the TRAPA plank floors in terms of colour, texture and construction, providing the designer with a creative tool to revitalize the highly developed flooring culture of the past.
